CAMPFIRE AND BURN BAN INFORMATION

You are required to call the burn line (719-836-4160) to determine if a burn ban is in effect for the Northwest Fire District 4 or County Wide Ban for Park County
You must obtain an annual campfire permit from the Fire Department, before lighting a campfire at your site.
Do not rely on the various signs posted at CORA, those are only for additional information, it is your responsibility to know the Fire District Rules. Contact the Fire Department or the Park County Communications Director at 719-836-4115 if you have any questions.

About Us

Campground of the Rockies is located in Park County. Situated in South Park, a high inter-mountain grassland basin, approximately 10,000 ft (3,000 m) in elevation, in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado. It encompasses approximately 1,000 square miles (2,590 km² or 640,000 acres).
